Sign Language

American Sign Language (ASL) classes for deaf, hearing-impaired and hearing people broaden public communication skills, and increase understanding for nonverbal neighbors. Call 918-682-8411918-682-8411 to enroll.

Missions

The Ark’s ministry in Mexico began in October 1999. “Children of the Dump” in Mexico is a regularly supported ministry. Mission trips include providing clothing and other support items. Call 918-682-8411 to help.

Counseling/Recovery

We offer individual counseling in cooperation with Muskogee’s Court Related Services (CRCS) program, and a 12-Step program. Juveniles and adults are encouraged to participate in building strong self-esteem and setting solid personal goals through work and training programs at the Ark facilities. Call 918-682-8411918-682-8411, Tues-Wed-Thurs between 10:00AM and 3:30PM.

Prison Ministry

On certain Saturdays at the Ark we provide field training for prison ministry. Several of our volunteers have been certified by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) to minister in prisons, pre-release, and return-to-work programs. For opportunities, call 918-682-8411918-682-8411

Gift of Giving

Holidays. We offer special programs for youth, including opportunities to volunteer. Our Gift of Giving program provides new and gently used toys and sporting equipment to children and teens. The Ark’s program includes older kids, so every child experiences giving and receiving unconditional love. This is available not just for Christmas, but for any other day of celebrations when qualified parents cannot afford presents. Call 918-682-8411 to donate or request help.

Coffee House

Most Friday nights we host an open Coffee House from 8pm to 11pm with entertainment and refreshments, as a safe and wholesome alternative for local youth, and the young at heart. We encourage everyone to bring a song, dance, instrumental, skit or poem to share a moment in the spotlight between the sets of our featured guests. Call 918-682-8411 for booking as a feature or to recommend features.

Court-related Community Service

We are approved by many schools and institutions for those earning required community service credits. We work with the Muskogee Court Related Community Service Program (CRCS) for juveniles and adults who need to perform community services. For opportunities, call 918-682-8411

Anger Management and Domestic Violence Prevention

Our program meets all requirements set by the local court judges. Classes are free, but enrollees must: (1) pre-enroll; (2) attend all classes; and (3) be on time. Call (918) 682-8411(918) 682-8411 for class schedules or to enroll.

Learning, Sharing & Giving

LEARNING

Matthew 25: 35-36 ‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; I was naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’

We help people address physical, emotional and spiritual needs through our classes and celebrating the arts–music, writing, dance, visual and graphic arts.

SHARING

sharingMatthew 25: 37-39 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? ‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? ‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’

We bring talented people together. Those needing support are empowered to share their own talents with others.

GIVING

givingMatthew 25: 40 The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, when you did it to one of these, my brothers and sisters, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’

No person is denied services or participation on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, handicap, age, creed, belief, gender, or political affiliation. Economic status may be a factor, regarding programs complying with government regulations. We are run by committed volunteers and your generous donations.

Ark Restoration Progress Report

A message from Ark Founder Sally Weiesnbach:

We continue working on the restoration of the buildings that house the Ark of Faith. There have been setbacks as we complete one project, only to have Spring storms do more and different damage. Insurance from the March 7 fire is paid only in small increments.  See our latest progress and needs.
