March 2023 Wishlist : Help Us Sustain & Rebuild

Help us help others!

Did you know the Ark is run solely by volunteers like you, and with your generous donations?  See some of our needs for April.

ARK NEEDS FOR MARCH 2023      Donate Online or CALL: 918-682-8411

SECURITY: To prevent more robberies, can you give toward the electric security fencing for our heat and air systems at both buildings?

FINANCES – prayerfully consider increasing your financial donations to help with restoration from the fire that destroyed our historic building. We continue serving people who are homeless in our interim location, so your funds are going to good use.

DAILY PRAYER – Intercessory prayer for the Ark building restoration, little Ark ministry, Board, staff, God’s blessing, and miracles.

WALL MURALS – the Tiger family donated their artistry and authenticity to restore these unique murals. Can you help fund supplies?

CARPET CLEANING – is needed before we can move back in and use the historic building at 401 E Broadway. Is this your area of donation?

VOLUNTEERS – Individuals, groups, and classes to stack the wood from the trees cut down to use in fireplaces. Meal servers. Workers for restoration and work at the locations. A commitment to prepare both locations’ gardens for the coming Spring.

HOMELESS – Employers who can pay homeless people for work. Even occasional day labor helps people afford life’s expenses.

VETERANS – guitars, ukuleles, autoharps (or funds) to donate to our veterans’ guitar class.

COFFEE HOUSE – can you and a partner, your Sunday School, or Bible study group serve as hosts for our twice monthly Coffeehouse? Looking for pairs to rotate to emcee open mic, share, witness, and keep the program on track 8-11pm on the 2nd and 4th Fridays each month. Artists also needed to perform as features or for open mic.

DISPOSABLE GLOVES – for participants to use while at the Ark.

HYGIENE KITS – Supplies (mask, travel-sized sanitizer, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes/paste, washcloths, lotion, deodorant…)

FINANCES – prayerfully consider increasing your financial donations to help with restoration from the fire that destroyed our historic building. We continue serving people who are homeless and now must go to them since they cannot come to us.

DAILY PRAYER – Intercessory prayer for the Ark Board, staff, participants, donors, and for youth suicide prevention. Special

VOLUNTEERS – Individuals, groups, and classes to help with cleaning and securing the burned-out building.

FOR THE HOMELESS – prepared meals, clothing and outer wear in good repair, socks, and shoes of all sizes

VETERANS – guitars, ukuleles, autoharps (or funds) to donate to our veterans’ guitar class

ELECTRONICS – Replacement computers and a new sound system, security and electrical system upgrades

HYGIENE KITS – Supplies (mask, travel-sized sanitizer, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes/paste, washcloths, lotion, deodorant…)

Learning, Sharing & Giving

LEARNING

Matthew 25: 35-36 ‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; I was naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’

We help people address physical, emotional and spiritual needs through our classes and celebrating the arts–music, writing, dance, visual and graphic arts.

SHARING

sharingMatthew 25: 37-39 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? ‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? ‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’

We bring talented people together. Those needing support are empowered to share their own talents with others.

GIVING

givingMatthew 25: 40 The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, when you did it to one of these, my brothers and sisters, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’

No person is denied services or participation on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, handicap, age, creed, belief, gender, or political affiliation. Economic status may be a factor, regarding programs complying with government regulations. We are run by committed volunteers and your generous donations.
